Causes of Neck Pain

Neck pain can be experienced by people of all ages, and although there are many different causes it is most commonly caused by poor posture, muscle strains or through an injury or trauma. We often see people that spend long periods of time in front of computer screens, and a poor posture can result in the neck muscles becoming stiff, underused and painful.

Factors such as stress, anxiety, tension or awkward sleeping positions can also contribute towards neck pain and trapped nerves in the neck can lead to numbness, tingling or ‘pins and needles’ accompanied by pain in the shoulder, arm or hand.
